Energy Business Unit

Energy Business Unit

The BayWa Group’s energy business unit consists of the Renewable Energies and Energy Segments. In BayWa r.e. AG, the Renewable Energies Segment pools all project business involving wind farms and solar parks and trading with photovoltaic (PV) components, as well storage technology. Going forward, the segment will focus on international project business and on its further expansion as an independent power producer (IPP).

The Energy Segment includes sales – primarily in southern Germany and Austria – of products including heating oil, lubricants and fuels, as well as wood pellets from sustainable forestry and provides heating and mobility solutions.

The agriculture business unit is divided into four segments: Cefetra Group, Agri Trade & Service, Agricultural Equipment and Global Produce.

The Cefetra Group and Agri Trade & Service Segments cover international and national trade in agricultural products and agricultural inputs.

BayWa’s Agricultural Equipment Segment trades in agricultural machinery and equipment and offers a wide range of services. The Global Produce Segment encompasses global trade with fruit and vegetable fruits.

The building materials business unit and the Building Materials Segment cover the entire range of products and solutions for building materials – from civil engineering, structural engineering, construction, renovations, modernisation, gardening and landscaping, to solution packages for energy efficiency and healthy building. Digital resources expand the range of services and boost sales potential.

One important strategic focus in the Building Materials Segment is the continuous evolution of the segment from a pure product trader to a provider of innovative services and solutions along the entire value chain.
